by Lisa Schiller
It’s official: Elbtal Plastics has successfully renewed its VinylPlus certification for 2025. This recertification highlights our continued commitment to responsible, sustainable practices in the use and production of PVC – across its entire life cycle.
What is VinylPlus?
VinylPlus is the voluntary sustainability initiative of the European PVC industry. Launched in 2011, it aims to advance the sustainable development of PVC by promoting circular economy principles, innovation, and environmental responsibility. The program has now entered its next phase, with ambitious new goals set through 2030.
Our Responsibility – Our Actions
As a certified member of VinylPlus, Elbtal Plastics is actively contributing to the realization of these sustainability targets. Our key initiatives include:
-
ongoing optimization of our production processes,
-
avoiding critical additives in product formulations,
-
supporting PVC recycling initiatives,
-
and increasing transparency and traceability throughout our supply chain.
The 2025 recertification confirms that our environmental practices meet the rigorous standards defined by VinylPlus.
Why It Matters
PVC is a highly durable and recyclable material – when handled responsibly. With this recertification, we demonstrate not only our dedication to sustainable PVC production, but also our role in shaping a more circular and future-ready plastics industry.
